Last night Mary, Kat and I had dinner at my house. Kat brought a pork roast, Mary brought Saldad, oh I almost forgot, Kat brought the wine (in a box!) and I fixed rice. The purpose of coming to my house was for Kat to show me how to add pictures on to my blog and as you can see, it was successful. The three of us met at one of our local knitting shops where we go on Thursday nights for open knitting. We all went to Allegan’s Fiber Fest last summer and after that we keep in touch during the week by phone and often end up at Mary’s house on the weekend to knit and enjoy each other’s company. We discovered that each one of us has a close personal relationship with Jesus and I think that along with knitting has bonded us for life! Mary and Kat are off to a spinning class today and I’m spending the day with my dearest friend Alice.
Alice and I have known each other since High School and even though I moved away several times, we picked right back up where we left off 27 years later. We call each other every day, we meet every Saturday for breakfast and we share all our innermost secrets with each other. Today we are going to Angel Food Ministry to pick up Mary and Kat’s food and then we are off to Grand Rapids to the company store for our business to do a little shopping. This will be our first trip there. After that we are heading off to the mall and then back to my house where we plan to stamp some Christmas cards.
I need to also mention that I have another dear friend that I made on Thursday nights…..Ann Marie. I can’t say enough nice things about her and how she inspires me everytime we meet. She is having a Christmas open house Dec 2nd and I’m so excited to go. I’ll try to remember to take my camera so I can post a picture.
Well, I’m off to the shower and to get ready for my busy day. May God bless your day too!
Ann, you are such a blessing!
Thanks for picking up the food for me today!!
I am blessed with you as a friend – truly blessed!!
You touch me.
I love the Knit night group, and won’t miss a single time if I can find a way to change things that get in the way of being there..
Now that you know how to post pictures, it is time to show others, lol.
Honestly, I don’t know where I would find the time, right now. Much to do, much coming up in our little lives here in North Glenn.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
AnnMarie
Ann, I was at the Fiber Fest in Allegan this year. Wish I had known, we could have met then. I bought some wool and some yarn. I love to felt also. I just love looking at all the wool and yarns. Isn’t knitting great???? What yarn store do you go to? The one in Holland? I love that store too. Go when I’m up there. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.
